I've never read any Lewis Shiner before, but had heard great things about him. When a friend recommended that I read his classic novel Glimpses, I decided to jump in. I found the book at a used book store and tore into it. A couple of hours later I was drifting into and out of. Lewis Shiner (born Decem in Eugene, Oregon) is an American writer.. Shiner began his career as a science fiction writer, but then identified with cyberpunk, and later wrote more mainstream novels, albeit often with magical realism and fantasy elements. He was formerly a resident of Texas (and a member of the Turkey City Writer's Workshop), and now lives in North Carolina.
